PNY Attache Review
After so many 3.0 we managed to find, here’s another 2.0 ( excuse me, dear sirs and ma’ams ) which seems quite weak.
Works on both MAC and PC and is compatible with the ReadyBoost system in Windows, but not forward compatible for USB 3.0. How sad. We do have backwards compatibility, though, and its another plus for this one, although, most drives nowadays have backwards compatibility. Mind that it’s not going to work on Linux and in will only work with Windows 7, 8 and Vista.
It comes with a one year warranty and it follows down the line of weak read/write speeds. It has a slider lid and it does not fully enclose the connector, which is quite nasty if you fear it my get contaminated by dust or other particles which might destroy not necessarily the drive itself, but the device you plug it into.
Storage capacity is also weak, we have 2GB, 4 GB, 8GB, 16 GB and 32GB so it doesn’t rank up here either. Why would someone buy this is a mystery and I am quite baffled that they are still getting out things which can’t even hold the average of the market, especially in an age where external storage has become essential.
